Kyle James is an artist, filmmaker, editor, director, producer, Australian, snowboarder, good dude and has won awards for his work. His company Husky Films specializes in animation, stop motion, and real people films. He and his crew won 1st Place at the 72 hr Filmmaker Showdown at the WSSF in April 2019 with his stop motion film "Kevin".  We talk about his work in the film world, the 72hr contest, comedy, and a bunch more. Casual with Ryan Proctor featuring Tony Richardson #22

This is EP #22 with Tony Richardson. I think Tony has done everything. He is an adventurer, designer and co-owner of Squamish Design Studio (or SQUAD Studio as he prefers) with his girlfriend Trina and his bro. He was nice enough to let me into his studio for this one. We met about 8 years ago while working at Arc'teryx in Vancouver and our chat rolls through our time there, how Tony came to be an apparel, pack, shoe etc.. designer and his current business. We touch on some past adventures including his climbing mission to Baffin island back during the Arc'teryx days. We get on about a lot of other things including the choices we make in our lives, the path we take, ditching the 9-5 and his new art/apparel project Curlib (@Curlib) which was officially made public on the show! So legit and you gotta say it with a serious french roll of the tongue to really get the idea.

Casual with Ryan Proctor Featuring Kris and Kevin Dontas #21(Benched EP)

This is EP 21 with Kevin and Kris or 2/3s of "2 Dontas 1 Proctor Productions". This is the Benched EP where we talk about making our 72 Filmmaker Showdown video. We were very happy to take home People's Choice for our little film and for being able to have our faces on the big screen. I can go on and on about what we talk about, but I won't. We provide commentary while playing the video and I figured out how to edit video in video for that part, which is right out of the gate for anyone who has not seen it. There is a swear jar as well... so that's cool.

This is Dano Pendygrasse. He knows a lot. Like tonnes. Especially about snowboarding. Dano plays an important role in snowboard photography and documenting the sport's history. He let me into his home to record this one before he almost went to a Neil Young show that night. Anyway, we talk about his photography and history, his current brand stuff and our career paths, art, life, health and doing what makes you happy. I think Dano knows something about everything. At one point the guy starts asking me questions (WTF is that?), so that gets interesting and I talk some shit. Chad Chomlack is a really good dude.  I'm not sure how to describe him other than that. He is a husband, a dad, the Photo Editor of SBC Snowboard Mag, he can pronounce you married and is a purveyor of positivity. He's got some serious cred in snowboarding, but we don't spend much time talking about it accept for right out of the gate. Then, we cut into topics like posture, driving, living clean and taking care of yourself, golfing, the influence we feel from our surroundings, raising kids, words we should and shouldn't use anymore and like I've said before, who the fuck knows what else. This is the Audio Only EP #18 and it features Greg Hill. I casually rolled into Revelstoke for a chat with Greg and it almost works out perfectly. Audio only is my fault and we'll just leave it at that. 
Greg is a skier, mountaineer, adventurer, a family man and cool dude. He has accomplished many great things in the mountains and his goal is to ensure he relies on fossil fuels less and less each time he heads out on an adventure. E-cars, E-bikes, E-everything someday. Greg is an ambassador for Protect Our Winters Canada, but I assume he thinks we should protect our winters in every country. 
We talk about E-vehicles, travel, injuries, aliens, the risks of being an adventurer and seeking out the wild places on our planet. We talk about a few other things and Greg keeps me on track as I try and derail the conversation in random directions. Hopefully he'll be back and I'll turn my camera on next time.

This is the Catch 22 EP with Todd Lawson. Todd is the Publisher and Photo Editor at Mountain Life Magazine and Mountain Life Annual. He is an adventurer and world traveller who has logged countless miles paddle boarding local whitewater in the Sea to Sky to dirt biking across Africa. He and his family spend their time between Whistler and the Philippines and he sees the impact of cultures colliding. This episode covers what Mountain Life is all about, how travelling impacts our environment and helps us learn how we can be better stewards of the planet we travel around. Can social media help us understand the world better or does it detach us from reality even more. Can we still travel and learn about our planet to teach ourselves how to minimize our impact? Can we balance out and live a neutral life? Is net zero possible?
